Guthrie Air opened in 2007 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA, with the primary mission of providing critical care helicopter services to communities in New York and Pennsylvania. Operating 24/7, the base is staffed by a highly trained team of flight nurses, paramedics, and pilots, working in partnership with the Guthrie Health System. Guthrie Air responds to both scene calls and interfacility transfers throughout the region and is specially equipped to transport IABP and Impella patients between hospitals.
