Throughout the month of May we are recognizing the fearless men and women in the nursing, EMS, and law enforcement fields. From our Air Methods team members, to the nurses, EMS, and law enforcement professionals we partner with, we believe it is important to ensure that the vital contributions of these practitioners in safeguarding the health, safety and well-being of our communities are fully celebrated and recognized.

To Our Nurses:

National Nurses Week occurs May 6-12^th. The commitment, compassion, and integrity of our nation’s nurses serve as a clear indicator as to why nursing continues to be the most trusted profession in the world. Many nurses enter the profession because of their gift of getting to know patients deeper than the condition they are being treated for. Their bedside manner, interpersonal relationship skills, and open lines of communication hold care teams and families together.

Our Air Methods nurses have proved their unwavering commitment to their patients throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Their knowledge, expertise, and compassion helps give patients a chance at another tomorrow.

Thank you nurses for being the glue that holds it all together during a patient’s care journey.

To Our EMS Providers:

National Emergency Medical Services Week occurs May 15-21^st. We take a lot of pride employing hundreds of passionate clinicians, pilots, mechanics, and call center technicians, who are answering the call every day to ensure patients are receiving top-notch care in a swift manner during their most critical hour.

The process of treating and transporting a patient takes a complex level of coordination. Our highly trained crews work together with local trauma centers, hospitals, and EMS partners to ensure communities have adequate access to care during emergent and trauma situations. From start to finish, the essential people along the way during the care journey are helping critically ill or injured patients who otherwise might not survive.

Thank you to our community EMS provider partners (on the ground or in the sky) for your contributions to your community.

To Our Law Enforcement Officers:

National Police Week also occurs May 15-21^st. It is a collaborative effort of many organizations dedicated to honoring America’s law enforcement community. At Air Methods, we are fortunate enough to work alongside these brave men and women who remain committed to protecting their community.

Regardless of the danger, they never hesitate to step up and protect the innocent. Our nation’s law enforcement officers protect us in all areas of our lives. Many of you perform this work on the front lines, at great risk to your personal safety, every single day. Others of you contribute to the law enforcement mission in different, important ways. Together, you perform the noble work of dedicating your talent and selves to the protection of others.

Please join us in celebrating our law enforcement partners who selflessly serve their communities, and in remembering those who lost their lives protecting others.
